ADBU Alumni Association (AAA), on 20th April 2016, in its 3rd meeting of the Executive Board, adopted the project proposed by the delegate of the Association, Fr. Joseph Nellanatt, who is also the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU). The project envisages to institutionalize the Social Commitment value embedded in the Vision of the University. The proposal was discussed by the Executive Board of the Alumni Association and was unanimously adopted.

It may be mentioned that some Executive Board members of the Association, along with Fr. Joseph, addressed all the graduating students of the university this year before the end of their course to present this proposal to them. This proposal was enthusiastically welcomed by all the graduating student of this year. As a matter of fact most of them decided to become life members of the Association, and in fact paid up the membership fees on the day of the Fifth Convocation of our University on 10 September 2016 or in the days prior to the convocation. At present there are aroung 300 registered Life Time members. We are in the process of contacting our alumni who passed out in the preceding years and making them Life Members of the association.
